THE UNREACHED PEOPLES GROUP (UPG): THE SOMALI PEOPLE, HORN OF AFRICA
The Somali people represent one of the largest and most resistant unreached people groups in the world, with a population exceeding 20 million across Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti. Somali identity is deeply fused with Sunni Islam to be Somali is to be Muslim. Apostasy carries severe social and sometimes physical consequences. Yet, there are increasing reports of Somali Muslims encountering Jesus through dreams, visions, and the testimony of diaspora believers. The window is opening. This is the hour to pray.

PRAYER POINTS
Ask the Lord to multiply dreams and visions of Jesus among Somali Muslims, as He has done across the Muslim world, leading thousands to Himself. (Acts 2:17)
Pray for Somali diaspora believers in Europe, North America, and the Gulf, that they would boldly share the Gospel within their own communities. (Romans 1:16)
Pray for the safety and fruitfulness of missionaries and outreach workers among the Somali people, especially those working in Somaliland and the Ethiopian Somali region. (Psalm 91:11-12)
Ask God to break the spiritual stronghold that fuses ethnicity with religion, let Somali men and women discover that they can follow Jesus and still be fully themselves. (Galatians 3:28)

Over Somalia: You are not forsaken. The Spirit of God is moving in unseen ways across the land. A fresh wind is blowing through the Horn of Africa, and what was dry is beginning to show signs of life again.
